Hello my friend!
It’s now April and we are moving into Spring officially as the days get longer than the nights and the earth starts to awaken.
In ancient times, in many different cultures, this awakening was considered the start of the year, and would be celebrated in many ways. We can do that now by connecting with the energies of light, creation, and growth.
Spring is also Kapha season in ayurveda, which is connected to the elements of earth and water. So it’s a time where you can feel stable and fluid, creative and calm, but also dull and stagnant.
To find balance, we will focus on cultivating a feeling of compassion, caring, devotion, and awareness while releasing any dullness, lethargy, resistance to change or attachment to “old ways.”
This week, take out your journal and answer this question: What are you releasing for Spring?
