Find mental BALANCE with breath 💨
Viviane Wolfe | MAY 22, 2023
Hello my friend!
This week’s YouTube video is a lesson in the pranayama practice of Nadi Shodhana, or, alternate nostril breathing.
I wanted to share a little more with you about why this practice is used as a way to feel more balanced and even. This will be a CLIFF’s Notes version, so don’t worry about getting too much info blasted at you.
In yoga and Ayurveda, there is a system for energy channels called NADIs that are similar, but not the same as, meridians in acupuncture and ancient Chinese medicine.
Along our spine, there lies 3 major nadis: The Ida, the Pingala, and the Sushmna. They help to regulate the flow of energy throughout the body.

Now it’s time to take out your journal. What time of day do you feel mentally balanced? Why do you think that is? How can you use that time to find homeostasis?
That’s it from me! I truly hope your week is full of ease, peace, and love.
From my heart to yours,
