Open your ♥️ to self compassion

Hello my friend!
Continuing in the theme of RADICAL SELF COMPASSION, I’d like to talk about treating yourself with common humanity.
This is a term I learned in The Mindful Self Compassion Workbook by Neff & Germer. It means that it’s easy for us to understand and instantly accept that humans are flawed, people make mistakes. When it’s other people. Right?
We understand that people are moving through the world, living their lives to the best of their abilities, and that means they experience suffering in different forms. Sometimes they deal with the suffering well, and sometimes not. It’s not too difficult to forgive and accept this for other people.
And now I’m inviting you to see yourself through this same lens of common humanity. If you are kind to others who are suffering, then be kind to yourself. As others are striving to improve themselves and their lives, so are you. We all experience illness, disappointments, injuries, broken hearts, setbacks, and more. That means you too.
It’s completely normal to have good days and bad days. Just like the ocean, we have ebb and flow too.
So…be kind to yourself, knowing that you are part of this common human experience.

Calm Yin Yoga for Self Kindness–This class focuses on calming the body and mind by toning and nourishing the liver meridian. Long deep breaths in these poses will promote detoxification, a release of tension, and calming of emotions. Perfect for this month of RADICAL SELF COMPASSION.
That’s it from me! I truly hope your week is full of ease, peace, and love.
From my heart to yours,
