Lesson 16 | No Time for Yoga? Try This 10-Minute Daily Practice for Busy Women
Viviane Wolfe | APR 24, 2025

Ground yourself with breath, movement, and mindfulness — even on your busiest days.
Welcome to Zen X Yoga, your space for compassionate, empowering yoga and Ayurveda created especially for women in midlife. I’m Viviane Wolfe, a certified yoga therapist, and you're reading Lesson 16 of our series, 48 Transformative Lessons for Gen X.
Today, we're focusing on one of the most common midlife challenges: time. When your plate is full and your energy is unpredictable, it’s easy to let self-care slip.
But I’ve got a simple, effective practice that only takes 10 minutes — and brings real results.
This quick and complete mini-session includes:
You’ll leave feeling grounded, clear, and centered — all in the time it takes to scroll through your inbox.
I use the Insight Timer App to guide this practice, with bells chiming every 3 minutes to keep you focused and flowing without watching the clock. It’s free, easy to use, and packed with resources for midlife wellness.
1. Movement: Seated Spinal Flow
We’ll begin with seated side stretches, gentle twists, and a few rounds of cat-cow to release tension and awaken your energy.
2. Breathwork: Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)
This pranayama technique balances the nervous system and promotes mental clarity. It’s ideal for stress relief, mood swings, and grounding during hormonal shifts.
3. Mindfulness: Vipassana-Inspired Meditation
We’ll close with a simple practice of awareness — observing the breath, acknowledging distractions, and gently returning to the present moment.
All guided by the Insight Timer’s timer bells to help you stay on track.
